What is CeLL?

Cell is an abbreviation for Pusat Pembelajaran Bahasa or in English, Centre for Language Learning. The Centre was established on the 1st of October 2020.

Where is the campus of CeLL?

CeLL operates in UTeM’s Main Campus which is located in the green surroundings of Durian Tunggal, approximately 3 minutes from the Ayer Keroh Toll. The 766 acre Main Campus is completed with state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure. CeLL buildings are located beside Perpustakaan Laman Hikmah.

What types of academic programmes are offered at CeLL?

CeLL focuses on compulsory language courses

How many departments are there at CeLL UTeM?

There are two (2) departments at CeLL. They comprise of National Language and English Department and International Department and Language Services

What facilities are provided?

CeLL aims to have a campus conducive to learning and living. Among the facilities provided are modern and fully-equipped language laboratories, conducive lecture rooms, seminar rooms. The library is also within walking distance from CeLL. Other facilities in the university include cafeterias, sports complex, mosque, hostels, etc. All the facilities provided are not only in relation to student capacity and needs but also in teaching and learning requirements. CeLL

Centre for Language Learning promotes communicative and intercultural competence in its curriculum. The aim is to empower students to use the target language in order to fully understand information, to express themselves orally and in writing and to communicate with native and non-native speakers of the language.
